For those who have difficulties with Gothic written German. I was stunned by the Lindberg report according to which the kidnappers of his son were caught in Czernowitz, from the newspaper Der Tag dated 2/4/1932. I was less than 3 years old at that time but such an event would have been told and retold hundreds of times, so surely it was a newspaper "Ente". The content is full of exaggerations and irony opposing world news to local small town interests. It somehow derides the local police, the local high bourgeoisie and the Siguranta (secret police).
Indeed if you read the names of the Kidnappers you get "Lachen Sie Aufsitzer hereingefallen", meaning something like "do laugh, you were taken on a ride"
It was an example of Czernowitzer Humor Anno 1932 and written on April fool's day it makes sense. Can somebody find the name of the author?
